In today’s Gospel, the Pharisees’ worst accusation is that people are “with Jesus.”
So the guards went to the chief priests and Pharisees,
who asked them, “Why did you not bring him?”
The guards answered, “Never before has anyone spoken like this man.”
So the Pharisees answered them, “Have you also been deceived?
Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him?
But this crowd, which does not know the law, is accursed.”
Nicodemus, one of their members who had come to him earlier, said to them,
“Does our law condemn a man before it first hears him
and finds out what he is doing?”
They answered and said to him,
“You are not from Galilee also, are you?
…if only that were the accusation against me. I’d dance for joy!!
Have a great day with the Lord!

One of the great reasons that there was such a fight between Jesus and the Pharisees was because Jesus was continually trying to find His way to the sinners heart so that there could be a change inside. The Pharisees did not have this change of heart and
you and I have to have a change in our hearts if one is going to be saved. The Pharisees had this way about them that it was going from one to the other to say the worse that they could think of. If it was to the disciples it was to put into their minds “how could Christ eat with sinners, and tax collectors?” etc……Then, to Christ they would nit-pick anything they could find about the disciples. To the people as a whole they were loaded with anything their corrupt minds could think of and the worse they could find about Jesus to have him arrested was, “He is with the people.” I think we all know which group we would like to be in. I am a sinner and I’m definitely with the Lord. The Pharisees of today should all join in one group and once done they will have tons to say against each other…………………
