A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to
Leave the examination room and said,
‘Doctor, I am afraid to die.
Tell me what lies on the other side.’
Very quietly, the doctor said, ‘I don’t know.’
‘You don’t know? You’re, a Christian man,
And don’t know what’s on the other side?’
The doctor was holding the handle of the door;
On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining,
And as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room
And leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.
Turning to the patient, the doctor said,
‘Did you notice my dog?
He’s never been in this room before.
He didn’t know what was inside.
He knew nothing except that his master was here,
And when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.
I know little of what is on the other side of death,
But I do know one thing…
I know my Master is there and that is enough.’

Hi – I was going to let you know that I thought that this was great – but after looking it over, I want to let you know that I think it “is enough”.
Love you – DC
It is always “enough” when God is with us!
This morning, the hymn during Communion was,
“My Name is I AM”
(Words by Orin Johnson based on a poem by Helen Mallicoat, used with permission, Music by Orin Johnson)
I have been your God since time began, yet my name is not “I Was,”
And I will be your God to the end of the earth, yet my name is not “I Will Be.”
I am your God of here and now, in this moment I am here,
My name is not “I Was” nor “I Will Be,” my name is “I AM.”
The past, with its mistakes and regrets is hard, the present has not these.
The future has its fears and its problems too, it is best to let them be.
He is always with us – so for us, we should always say, “It’s enough.”
I think all of us at times and especially when old or very sick think of the heavenly journey to be taken at sometime. St John in his Gospet says, “Eye has not seen nor ear heard what God has prepared for those who love Him.” In my mind I hope there are many paths as I am not into’ mansions in my’ Father’s house.’. As an animal and nature lover, I dream of meadows where animals are whole and playing and and quiet birds in circling flight If there is such a place all the animals I’ve had will perk their ears up and know me.
We really just don’t know. One thing we are not sleeping. All religions have their interpretation as far as time goes back. They are to be respected.
I loved the story above as it is so simple,The dog loved his master soo much that being let in was all he wanted.. Without trying to figue it all out as we really can’t, maybe just the heavens open and our union with God is all we really have to hope for. I’ll go with St. John’s verse………….If you can’t see or hear the anticipation is so great!
